They are still stuck in time, but can only jump out if they successfully fix an issue, and they are currently in 1958 trying to solve Gibson head stock issues. They've been there since 1953. There was a TV series made loosely on the premise of the issue Modulus had with the techs, but they cut it down to just one in the series and widened the remit to more than instrument makers for wider appeal. You may have seen it.

The "Sam" Character in Dr Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham is based on real-life composer Hans Zimmer. His stage name was misspelled, it was meant to be "Hams Zimmer", because he liked ham so much, the little porker ... anyway, his real name was Pan, Pan Zimmer.

Incidentally, Robin Williams actually was indeed an alien from another planet. Mork & Mindy was the cover he used to sneak himself into our society. He was sent here to study bass players, but the joke was on Orson, he wasn't really the bass player he'd led orson to believe (so he could get the Earth assignment) — in fact, he couldn't play bass at all.

Yes, they were propelled back to 1951 so fast that they collided with Leo and thus the term “dented Fender” was coined. This dent in his skull stimulated left brain creativity and it’s result was the first precision bass.
He was from Scotland, but an easy mistake to make.
All the bass lines from Alice in Chains were originally from Motown songs, just slowed down and drop tuned.

They ended up colliding with him again in 1959, which stopped him drawing symmetrical curves, which is how we got the jazz bass. Jazz herbal 'cigarettes' got their name as you needed to smoke one for a Fender Jazz to look right.
The no string viola has already been a hit with orchestras containing viola players. No one has yet told the viola players, and none of them have noticed!
