Let's spread some musical misinformation

U2 got their name after Dave Evans (Edge) and Paul Hewson (Bono) tried to get into a niteclub in Dublin and the bouncer wouldn't let them in because they were under age.
So in an attempt to look older they came back the next night wearing fake moustaches... the same bouncer was on the door - he took one look at them and said "Oh No - not you two again"!

Bong is an Asian or Hindu table top vase. It makes for a lovely display venue for flowers or other decorative or fragrant foliage. It can be ceramic, glass, plastic, really any type of material. Some have elaborate graphics on them to make them esthetically pleasing, with some US made models having a more "modern art" type feel with tubes and such protruding at various points.
You simply place a liberal amount of water into it, in the bottom reservoir. Then you take your foliage and place it into the "cup" or, if larger, "bowl" shaped receptacle. This receptacle is sometimes close to the base (not to be confused with bass) and attached to a removable tube (called a slider).
If using foliage that generally grows in warmer climates, and you wish to preserve their usefulness for as long as possible, it is recommended that you carefully induce flame from a lighter to the "bowl" area, but be careful not to burn the foliage. If this does happen, (burning of the foliage), you can quickly remove the "slider" and use some sort of suction device or, if you have none, just use your lungs to remove the smoke from the "chamber". Take care not to inhale this smoke! Several people "never inhaled" it and became prominent members of society.
With the Hindu version, the receptacle is usually affixed atop the chamber, and they also have several tubes attached to allow more people to assist in the smoke removal, seeing as the receptacle (bowl) is usually quite large.
In either case, the water in these lovely vases should be changed, with the frequency depending on how many different "displays" you have used and how many times it was inadvertently set ablaze.
It is recommended that, were you to spill this water on a rug or piece of furniture, or even, god forbid a beloved pet, that said item just be discarded. It CANNOT be cleaned!
"Sheesh, a long explanation!" commented the hookah I just picked up.

Bill Schatter, the founder of Snap On Tools was an aspiring bassist. One day he was playing his beloved axe when the unthinkable happened...His strap slipped off and the bass neck (headstock taking the brunt) struck the floor, snapping it instantly!
Bill was devastated...and he vowed to make the world safer for bass guitars. He finally came up with a new system that literally locks the strap to the guitar and the strap lock was born.
He was so excited he wanted to market his new system right away. He formed the Schatter Strap Lock product line but, for some reason, it initially didn't take off. Confused, he confronted marketing experts who convinced him that the Schatter name had a sort of "crappy" ring to it, so he reluctantly changed the name to Schaller Strap Locks. It was an instant success!
Because the strap lock was his breakthrough product (he was so glad he was finally able to keep his strap on) began designing other "tools" of the musical trade.
He started the Strap On Tools company.
Once again, marketing experts were quick to point out that there was already a totally different market for strap on tools, so, thinking about how it just "snaps on" he changed it to Snap On, and alas, the Snap On Tools name was born.

I had thought Bill Shattner was the... founder... of... Snap... On Tools

Previously they had tried various US spy plane names such as A-12, SR-71, RB-57 (and even Thunderbirds Are Go until Adam Clayton's Thunderbird was stolen) until that fateful night.

The prefix "Mc" or "Mac" means "son of" and it clearly demonstrates the degree of cashing in on famous parents prevalent in British music. Paul's dad, Cartney, was considered among the top three bass players in Walton and certainly the best in Forthlin Road. He was also a prolific songwriter; "I'm the man of the house but there's a louse in me scouse" was whistled by many a milkman in the 1950s.
John's dad, Claughlin, pioneered the fusion of jazz and Yorkshire colliery brass bands, employing the young Brian Blessed on vocals before the PA was invented. Claughlin's musical career was cut short by his tendency to get legless with Douglas Bader in the pubs of Sprotborough, but not before John hitched a lift on his famous father's coattails.
There are numerous others, but I won't go on. You can look up John's dad, Vie, yourselves if you're not familiar with West London's skiffle scene of the late '40s.
Ohhh...tricky Douglas Bader reference...nice!
