Let's spread some musical misinformation

No! those 2021 strings do have some leeway built into them, they will actually last until 10:22PM Tuesday the second of February. Which, in history bill be called Twosday because the date and time for the world will be 22:22 2 2/2/22! And when that occurs it will also be two day!. Don't thank me, I'm just helpful like that!

Thanks for dumping that one on us!

Was the light fantastic? If not, then, no, you didn't.
The Captain is Fantastic.

Of course, this was the last Elton John album with the "classic" line up of Nigel Olsson, Dee Murray, and Davey Johnstone. They departed the band as their contributions were ignored as evidenced by their exclusion from the album title. It had been proposed to be Captain Fantastic and his Platoon of Decent Musicians. Instead, EJ chose Bernie Taupin over the band.

Lemmy from Motorhead didn't die - he is alive and well
he went to see Dr Sandra Lee (Dr pimple popper) and got those warts / growths removed off his face.
when he emerged no-one recognized him anymore, so he cut his hair and had a shave and became a Baptist minister at a church in Louisiana
He gained a lot of weight and grew a beard. He sometimes makes a guest appearance.

Fender has released a new preamp unit called the Downton for the British market. Since overdriven bass would be uncouth, it replaces that module for one which plays a selection of mp3s such as Rule Britannia, Pomp and Circumstance, and due to an error in specification, The Sex Pistol's version of God Save the Queen.

There will also be a special Sting signature version of the Downtown called the 'Up Toon', which is expected to sell up to several units, possibly as many as six. It will also be available at a premium without Sting's actual signature.

The British Association of Pedants threatened to sue over the original title on the basis that a platoon should be commanded by a captain or similar rank but should number 3 sections of 10 plus the platoon headquarters, and there were not enough musicians in involved. This was using the rarely used 1787 law on accuracy in songs introduced just after the American War of Independence to stop satirical songs (*). It contended it should be called 'Sergeant Adequate and his under strength section of musicians' instead, but there wasn't enough space on the album, so John dodged the question by leaving out the whole business of platoons.

The Coldstream Guards also considered suing on the basis that it did have platoon in its band.

The Beatles' Apple Corps sued on the basis of it being too much like 'Sgt. Pepper and his Bren Gun Team' (original title) but inadvertently sued George Harrison by mistake. The British Association of Pedants then also sued Harrison and Apple Corps on the basis that its staff was only the size of a platoon, and also Neil Innes for terrible puns.

* The song 'Hitler has only one male gonad' had to be thoroughly researched before it was allowed to be released during WW2.

The Beatles had their own troubles. Apple Corps, initially was under investigation as a terrorist organization, was sued by the British Army Association as Apple wasn't even brigade strength, let alone corps. Apple narrowly escaped by having no money as a result of their own outstanding legal bills and embezzlement by George Martin.

Yes, the British Army was most displeased as due to a clerical error, Apple Corps started appearing on the British Army of the Rhine rosters in the early 1970s, responsible for the area around Hamburg. It was a significant hole in the cold war defences of West Germany when it was discovered that it wasn't even brigade strength as you noted, and didn't even have inflatable tanks like Patton had in spring 1944, just the pig it'd borrowed from Pink Floyd.

(As an aside, in honour of the US general, all Patton tanks of the M47 - M48 - M60 series were inflatable).
