Before their big hit got them on the cover of the Rolling Stone, they were known as "Dr Stump," until Captain Hook took them to his favourite second hand shop.

Heavy metal got heavier from the late 60s to present because new elements were being discovered/created in particle accelerators. As heavier metals were discovered/created, the music followed.

The Atom Smashers was a band started by George Smoot (Nobel prize winner) and resulted in his falling out with Stephen Hawking when he was not allowed to join.

If you are writing a song, see if you can whistle the melody without any accompaniment and it still sounds good. If it does, that means it's so unsophisticated that you should quit music and get a job at the post office instead. At least that's what XX century composer Anton Webern taught.

Hawking responded with a fart so noxious it was immortalized as Hawking Radiation.

Brian Cox played keys. No, not the actor Brian Cox, but Professor Brian Cox. The actor Brian Cox played keys for Billy Connolly.

I love Webern (not disinformation) and can whistle along with all his greatest hits, at least for the first seconds after which my wife and pets beg me not to. Actually, I have done that and so have they, so none of this is really disinformation apart from the concept of hits.

Smoot wrote Atomic, later covered and made into a hit by Blondie. Smoot wrote a hood tune but was not as cool. Einstein A Go Go was one of his too.
