The Wanton Song was the better of the two tracks under consideration. The Sweet and Sour Song never it made it onto a Led Zeppelin album.

That's because the Wanton song was inspired by going next door of the recording studio to Wong's Wanton House during the recording sessions;
Sweet & Sour Song came about because Wong's was closed for renovations during the mixing sessions and the band had to go a few extra blocks to Chong's Chow-Mein House where wantons weren't on the menu but had free mints by the cashier's desk between the mens and womens restrooms, causing the band to get sick and suffer wanton a-band-on-mint.
