Licks that destroy you?

Again, another Kansas song... Portrait, He Knew... the very end. We have the notes, and if I had to guess, we're playing it well at about 85-90% of studio speed.

I'd rather play together slower, than have all of us playing at different speeds.
 
Does it? I'd vote for play your own line. I don't slap, so I'd play a finger funk line there. If you can make it work, then it's good enough.

I agree - I’ve had a pretty successful career faking most of the complicated bits. However! I have nailed this particular lick on stage and it always goes over big. I’m going to keep working on it and looking forward to a busy, healthy gig season.

And thanks everyone else for playing along! My ears have been opened to a lot of stuff I never knew existed and it’s quite humbling.
