Light Came On

I guess it depends on what/how you use it. I use Nashville numbers for the chord changes and write them using Roman numbers, i.e. I-IV-V, etc.

Now once you get the chord you want - then the riff you use with that chord - because it's single notes - are shown in Arabic numbers, i.e. R-3-5-3, etc.

I think we are both going down the same road.

I doubt I'll ever use something that detailed, but, would like to learn how to write that kind of a bass line.
