lightest solid body bass you've ever played?

I just remembered this one I flipped i couple years ago, it was under 6 IIRC, no chambers, just beveled wafer thin around the edges, probably Sen, Basswood or really light Mahogany.

+1 to Ibanez SRs. They're so much lighter than my LTD (which weighs 11 lb.)

My 5 string CallowHill J(unk) is not chambered, but still weighs right under 7lbs. My old Yamaha RBX 200RF weighs slightly more than a hatful of goose down.

Yeah, my ERB 070 (the first bass I ever had) was seriously light... Gave me a hell of a shock when I played a fender for the first time...

I have an SX Pirate bass that's EXTREMELY light. I haven't weighed it, but it can't be more than 7-8 pounds tops. No idea what kind of wood, could be pine. It's pretty soft wood though.

Lightest bass I ever owned is my Lakland 44-02 at 7.9 lbs. I actually had a CV Squier P that was that weight too, but didn't had it for long.

My two other basses are exactly at 8 pounds. I love lightweight basses.

hey guys

simple question what is the lightest solid body bass you have ever played?

the lightest bass i personally played was an ibanez sr505 at the local guitar center. the body was paper thin and extremely comfotrable. as for tone and all that fun stuff it was nice but for that price id rather go with something else.

Ashbory I think.

Looking at more conventional ones it would be some elrick I think.

I don't think it weighed even 7 lbs. You hardly noticed it hanging around your neck. It's just you and the notes.
