I have two of those that I use in theatre pits for stand lights (as does the rest of my quartet). Lighting guys love them because from five feet away, they don't see them as opposed to regular lights. They work really well, provided you have brand new batteries. After a couple of hours, they will start to gradually dull in terms of light; they do tend to burn through batteries.

Mighty Bright (the company that makes that) also has a newer model with 4 led lights, but more importantly, a wall adaptor. The model is about $10 more, but given that I've used my lights - heavily - for about a year (and have easily spent $15-20 in batteries), I'd recommend that model.

i looked up hubs and i know i dont need 2.0 powered ones but that's all i can find!

Nowadays that's all you'll find, USB 1.1 was phased out a while ago. Unless you find a used powered hub somewhere, I believe they'll all be USB 2.0.

USB 3.0 hubs should be coming out quite quick here, too!

I like the danger of not having lights. You might discover some great new sounds. Of course, you might blow every speaker in your cabs and the PA too, but who said art should be cheap?

Yeah.... Remind me to tape the 'Feedback' control on my Memory Boy. That thing could do damage!

Here you are. Looks like the new model is $35, and the adaptor is $10.

It bears mentioning too, that all of the Mighty Bright lights (that have the gooseneck lights) should work on a pedalboard. They seem to all have the same battery case, which will fit on their optional mount if you want it.
