Lightweight bass guitars

How about a Invalid Link Removed?
Plus you can get whatever woods, electronics, hardware you want.

That's a great option. Bummer they don't offer chambering for the P-Style or G4 bodies (the "lopsided" shape of the J-bass bugs my eye). :(

I have had some really nice light weight Basses. And they all sounded like i was playing a Bajo.

A "bajo?" The Spanish word for "bass?" Sounds fine to me. :p

I'm currently in the market for a lightweight Jazz bass. I've read about and am also interested in the Aerodyne Jazz, but I'm wondering what other options are out there for that style of bass. Another one on my radar is the Schecter Diamond J, but I can't find any information about weight whatsoever.

Also, I'm looking for something in the <$1000 price range, so I can't do a chambered Sadowsky or anything along those lines.
