Lightweight Basses?

Hey guys show me your Lightweight bass! I know Sandberg and Strandberg makes basses that are under 7lbs, Ibanez EHB is weighs a bit heavier but still very good weight. G&L used to have the Empress wood body option which reduce the weight a lot. My Gibson SB-350 is the lightest bass I've ever had only 6.6lbs!

No need to mention something like the Strandberg canoe paddle or the Traveler bass tho, everybody knows those are Lightweight lol.

I had a fretless Tobias Growler at 6lbs. Emerald Balor that I currently have is right around 6lbs as well.

Here’s my Sandberg Super Light. Cedar body, Norwegian Maple and Aluminium hardware, tipping the scales at just under 7lbs. It’s a really great jazz bass.

Prime Dealer Network special. Big volume dealers get to come in and have some instruments made. Some really killer stuff.

my lightest is 6.2 lbs., my heaviest is 7.8 lbs, and all six of them average 7.03 lbs., so i'm definitely playing lighter axes than those that i came up playing. who knew?

Here’s a pic. They call it lavaburst. The neck is a little buzzy but not enough to get me to address it at this time.I’ve got back and shoulder issues so weight is important. It really is outrageous how light it is. They may consider it a BFR guitar. It came with a certificate.

I think the newer ones with the Paulownia body are even lighter? Why did they switch from cedar to paulownia anyway?
