I’ve been making the rounds to the local music shops (Sam Ash, GC, Music Go Round) to try different heads and cabs. The Ampeg PF 500 has caught my ear. At an average resale of $250, it’s also well inside my price range.
Cabinets are a little slower to check. Markbass has some nice but pricey stuff and I end up back at the concern regarding possible repair needs. I like the Ampeg 2x12, at 54 lbs it’s above my preferred limit, but still manageable. Hartke makes some really nice 2x10 cabs that are about 45lbs.
Any suggestions on cabinets under 50lbs and under $350?
