Limiter Enhancer: Boss LMB-3 or Behringer BLE100?

Hello!

I´ve heard good things about the LMB-3 but I´ve never tried it. The same goes to the BLE100 but in this case people always add the low price tag.

So my question is, and assuming the Boss pedal is better than the Behringer pedal,is there a big difference between these two pedals that justifies going for the LMB-3 or the quality of the BLE is close (or even better) to the LMB-3? The only thing that matters is the sound and not the case. Thanks!

Had the behringer BLE 100 for a couple of years, they are sturdier then people would have you believe, however the circuitry can be hit and miss. If you can get a Boss for cheap, £25-£30 which is possible, go for that otherwise you can find a behringer for around £15-£20 new.

I have the Behringer and it works very well. I think I paid around $30 for it. It is a Boss clone but is made of much more fragile plastic than the metal Boss. Mine is in a pedal board with 2 other pedals but, I sit it on top of my amp and work the controls with my hands. I don't know how well it would hold up on the floor being kick and stepped on.

LMB-3 is a fantastic unit. I use it in front of my envelope filters to protect speakers.

i had one years ago and sold it, but recently bought another. it's not the best comp/limiter in the world, but it's affordable and reliable and really effective.
