I'm not a materials scientist but yes. It feels sturdy and tight, with some weight. As long as you don't abuse it like your old BOSS DS-1 I see it lasting a long time.
Only thing I don't know about is if the output/input jacks are soldered directly to the PCB or not. IMO that's going to have a far greater effect on longevity than the casing. I've had metal pedals where the output jacks were soldered directly to the board and they crapped out really early.
I was under the impression that nowadays in/outs are (almost) always soldered directly to PCB? With a good quality build the in/outs are secured to the chassis, with cheaper gear it is not. Pictures of the Pod suggest this is the cheaper build. Please correct me if I am wrong!

Arrived a few days ago, just got a chance to try it out in last hour. Pretty quick to work out whats going on which is a good start. And Im loving the SVT so far!
I have one little gripe. My purpose for this is to put it on my pedal board for the amp sims. I think arleady its going to perform great for this. It took me a while to get it going because there was no sound... was it broken out of box?... surely the little tiny volume slider for the headphones on the side wasn't controlling the volume for the output of the pedal... yep it was on off. So initially I was thinking, do i have to check this little tiny slider to see its not bumped off full every time I play through my pedal board?? Its going to be hard to access on my pedal board and guarantee I will forget. It doesn't look like its switchable to turn off through global settings. Im going to put a little tape over it to make sure it does not get bumped and I don't realize.
I find that strange the little tiny slider (with no wya of knowing what level it is at), right next to headphone jack, controls the entire volume of the pedal, not just headphones. Am I missing something?
I do like what I am hearing so far.... I really wanted an SVT and GK at my fingertips!

When you say "in the chain", do you mean with other pedals, or just bass->pod->amp? I have only gone bass->pod->amp quietly at home, didn't notice any hum but Ill crank it a bit this weekend and take notice. I will also add it to my pedal board see if I hear anything.
Have you tried changing the chain’s order? Just spitballing here, but the compressor would magnify everything before it like your drive pedal and the POD. Me, I’d begin with compression, then drive, POD, and into your DI. Give it a try if you haven’t already.
Shared power supply? Sounds like maybe it’s got that Zoom “needs an isolated power supply” thing that many digital pedals have.
Just got mine and playing with it practicing while the family is asleep. Got some very usable sounds for practicing with headphones.
Issue I’m facing is when I plug my iPhone in usb to play along, it’s way too loud even at the lowest gain setting. Twice as loud as my bass. I adjusted the usb gain in the global settings and have it at lowest gain.
Anyone played along with a usb audio in yet?

FYI the mutant on the synth effect is the Mu-Tron III.
I personally haven’t had good luck using daisy chain power with almost any digital pedals at all. Try unplugging the power from it and running the Pod on batteries to trouble shoot and see if the noise persists.
