Ditto. I have actually long assumed that digital pedals of any kind really required their own isolated power supply. Even things like digital chorus pedals have given me issues on a daisy chain.

I've been getting audio from my pc via usb and noticed the same thing. Is there any way to turn you phone's volume down when it is usb out? Super simple on a pc
Nope, at least on an iPhone when you're sending audio out through a USB device it disables all volume controls. I hunted for an hour or so for a workaround and couldn't find one. The audio in at -12db in global settings is still about twice as loud as my bass
Yeah it's a bummer, I'll submit a support ticket. Definitely doesn't seem like that input is super loud.

It would be really helpful to be able to check current amp eq settings. What if tapping the alt button cycled through the settings and lit up the ring with the current settings? I.e. tap it once, it lights up yellow with gain setting, tap again it lights up purple with high, again orange with bass...
Issue being I have no idea where gain (etc) currently is. I hold alt and turn that knob, the adjustment starts from current location of the physical knob, which is related to the effects setting not the gain. And I have no way of knowing what that setting was previously.
Please let me know if I'm missing something.

When you gig, maybe just put a price of tape to hold it in place.Arrived a few days ago, just got a chance to try it out in last hour. Pretty quick to work out whats going on which is a good start. And Im loving the SVT so far!
I have one little gripe. My purpose for this is to put it on my pedal board for the amp sims. I think arleady its going to perform great for this. It took me a while to get it going because there was no sound... was it broken out of box?... surely the little tiny volume slider for the headphones on the side wasn't controlling the volume for the output of the pedal... yepit was on off. So initially I was thinking, do i have to check this little tiny slider to see its not bumped off full every time I play through my pedal board?? Its going to be hard to access on my pedal board and guarantee I will forget. It doesn't look like its switchable to turn off through global settings. Im going to put a little tape over it to make sure it does not get bumped and I don't realize.
I find that strange the little tiny slider (with no wya of knowing what level it is at), right next to headphone jack, controls the entire volume of the pedal, not just headphones. Am I missing something?
I do like what I am hearing so far.... I really wanted an SVT and GK at my fingertips!
To me, this is probably the biggest deal breaker for me. Also, from the videos I saw online, all amp models seem to be super gainy.
You can adjust the gain, but even with it all the way down, the SVT model and DG model still seemed to have some. The rest get pretty clean.
Exactly what I mean. The Darkglass is supposed to be gritty, I guess, but a clean SVT is usable and different from a clean Flip Top, so...
Wasn't very impressed by the cab sims either. With cheap IR loaders nowadays, these cab sims sound just cheap...

This is exactly what I'll do if I decide to grab one of these. I have a Finally that I use with my full pedalboard setup, but I could rip it off of that board and use it with the Express for an easy ampless rig.

I got to spend quiet a bit of time with it yesterday
Definitely had to keep checking the online manual to get familiar with it. My No#1 reason to get this pedal was to try out amp/speaker emulation which i have never done. Actually it was from watching Ian Allison adding SVT to a a lot of sounds he was trying to cop (covers) with the HX stomp to instantly give it something extra. I am in an a typical 70s/80s/90s covers band. I already am able to get exactly the tones I want with my simple board but am missing that vintage amp type vibe. At $180 this is worth a try.
I want to try the tones out in a rehearsal setting, so I spent yesterday getting it ready going through all the amps matching levels. I came to the conclusion I am going to use presets live exclusively . So I went through each amp and set levels and eqs and then assigned each amp to its corresponding preset position. So the first 7 (blue presets) I set all the amps with low gain (not much drive) to keep them pretty clean. The next 7 (red I added some drive and one or two with distortion effect). This way, I can cycle through at rehearsal to see what sounds best. I am thinking this will be an mostly on all the time type pedal (on one or 2 amps) if it works for me.
The only effect I used, is I replaced my chorus pedal with this, (Source Audio Gemini Chorus which is really nice by the way) So I added a preset that has the chorus. I already know this will be good enough as I dont use chorus that much.
I think I am happy with the amps/cabs to start.. will know more after rehearsal. You know the more you go through something, is it better? sounded good yesterday LOL. But, I think it may end up working in a gig setting ... which was my main concern as it feels more designed like a home/studio use type tool.
Things I found/realized. I know now, if Line 6 ever come out with something this form factor just with amps (forget effects)Id be all over that. Having the effects as well as the amps, does it make difficult to know where you are with the levels of amp parameters, the effects get in the way. Its not a criticism, its just they fit so much in to this pedal with no screen. Plenty of people have mentioned here better what I am trying to explain. I found myself adjust the amp parameters with ALT knob and then accidentally turning on the effect. I knew it as soon as I had (the color changed) but then I had to turn off the effect off and then I didnt know where that parameter was as it was now on zero.
If a computer editor ever comes out, that would solve all these issues, Id work out the parameters on PC and see them all. Hopefully an editor would mean we could back up our patches.
I did hear on some of my presets, for instance mids were not sounding good, I found it difficult to play with parmeters to change tone... again, not a fault, Im just used to adjusting amp physical controls.
Picture of it is on my board. I potentially could replace the vintage Microtubes pedal (which I leave on all time), but seeing the POD fit I just left it on for now.
In summary Im excited to see how it will sound in a band setting and fit into my board.

I can't get ANY audio out of my iPhone into the Pod Express Bass via Lightning to USB C cable. Music just plays through phone speakers. Is there some setting I need to change on the phone? It works fine with my Windows 10 PC laptop (once I loaded the Line 6 ASIO driver)
My iPhone is USB C so haven't tried it with a lightning phone, but to me it's completely unusable because even at the lowest -12db gain the phone volume is 2x my bass volume, and when connected USB all the volume settings on the phone are disabled. I've messaged Line6 support so hopefully hear back or I'll have to return it as I can't use it to practice on the road as is.
Yeah, saw your other post. Did you try increasing the master volume of whatever amp model you're using? Could do gain too but that will affect the tone too of course.
Folks reported that audio was too loud from external devices connected to the USB input. I found a Global setting in the manual called "USB In 1/2 Trim." This might allow you to turn down the external device level. It's Global setting #9 and is tricky to get to. My pedal hasn't arrived yet and I haven't tested this out.
I’ve got that set at the lowest -12db gain and it’s still twice as loud playing from my phone as the bass
