Don't know if this is what you meant, but the PBA-EXP is from Disaster Area, not Mission Control.
Yeah, I missed that. Too many small shop brands for my brain to keep up with. Haha. But it still stands that this new pedal has features not needed with the Stomp. Which makes it an overpriced, bad choice compared to other options on the market. In my opinion.
3Sigma seems to make some quality IRs. I have a couple of their amp IRs that I haven't messed with yet, but I picked up their upright bass models for my NXTa, and they made a killer difference.
I did pick up a couple Red Wirez amp IRs that I've been experimenting with (Aguilar DB115, B15 and Hartke 4.5XL models). I've got a few mic placement variations of the DB115 and B15 IRs loaded up to try out tonight and tomorrow for demo recording sessions with my band. I like them, but the final verdict is still out at the moment.
The Hartke IRs are interesting. Red Wirez modeled the 10s and the horn separately, so if you want the full IR experience of the whole 4.5XL cab, you have to load two IRs.

In a loop switcher it isn't an issue at all.
What I am saying is that if it will be in your chain but Bypassed, I recommend that you set the Global setting to "DSP Bypass" OR have a buffered pedal in front of it in the chain.
I have a thread about the DMC Micro with the HX Stomp on TGP but you might find this useful.
My current setup with the HX Stomp.
Disaster DMC Micro: Left switch is Tap and long press is Tuner. Right Switch is set to toggle either between Stomp and Preset or Stomp and Snapshot modes (experimenting with Snapshots).
I scroll presets on the Stomp and the Micro just changes it to the needed Mode. I leave the Micro in Utility mode all the time
Disaster 2 Button footswitch connected to the Stomp with it set to FS4 and FS5. I set them to standard functions in each preset (Mod and Verb for instance).
Be aware that you can also assign any parameters to be controlled via a Footswitch and have similar controls to a Snapshot but in Stomp mode.
It is sometimes referred to as a "Stompshot". On Bass, I sometimes use the FS4 and FS5 that way but I tend to use it more like a small pedalboard.
Stomp is set to be all Stomps so I have three onboard FS in Stomp mode.
Dunlop mini expression is running through the DMC Micro. I use the expression for Gain control and sometimes also engaging a Fuzz and/or a parked Wah/Filter at Toe down.
It all rides on a Pedaltrain Nano Plus.
I have to carry another DC adapter for the DMC Micro.
SO in a given preset, I have 3 labeled FS on board, 2 general FS in the expander switch, gain control on the Exp, Tap/Tuner on the Micro. And it is really easy to scroll presets.
I set my performance presets in groups of 3. I wouldn't likely use more than that in a performance.
Pretty great compact rig that drops into a backpack and I pack it in the Pedaltrain soft bag).
The pedals are offset enough for my big feet...

Please don't take this the wrong way but I'm curious as to why didn't you just get a helix or LT?
I did, but the smaller footprint just works better for some people. TEHO
Actually, I went the Stomp route first, then realized I needed the LT. Just picked it up this morning!

That's exactly what I decided. I got the backpack too, so it made my entire board obsolete. I just couldn't jive with the whole midi thing. I need it all self contained, and easily programmed. Every year we try to time a firmware release with NAMM and every year we find last minute bugs and it ends up dropping a week or two later. This year we gave up; I'm just announcing what's in 2.80 at the Friday night Helix Users party in the booth. Not sure if we're live-streaming it or not but chances are someone will talk about what's included later that night on social media. If it blows up I'll release the list Saturday morning; otherwise we're treating it like a very soft launch, as 2.80 won't be ready for download until spring anyway.
Yes, there's some bass stuff in there.
I hope that one of the changes will allow to treat the stereo outputs as separate, allowing it to be used the same way as you now use the fx send when you're sending a line signal to the PA/Powered Speaker and the other as instrument level to an amp. That way we could still have the chance to use the fx loops as 2 separate loops for integrating other pedals.
EDIT: and a bass wah model, and a brassmaster model...

Overkill? yes.
Worth it? for sure.
I even got with the ML5 (if I decide to grow the pedalboard or put remote the effects on a rack drawer).
The MC6 is very easy to setup. I liked a lot. Great if you want to explore all the features of the HX Stomp or a very flexible Midi controller to control several things at once. Also is very affordable.
I'm thinking of getting a Disater DCM-4 so I can use 2 footswitchs to do the same as you while using the Micro and the other two to switch midi presets not only in the HX Stomp but also in other units like my Future Impact and my SA BEF Pro.
