Forgot to mention that every scene has its own individual effects loop settings which is really nice feature. But it may confuse if one is not aware of it. So you have to turn effects loop on in every scenes settings that you are using if you want to have effects loop always on.

I'm finding out that a lot of these mainstream musical manufacturers have to cut corners in components to keep costs down. Change a few caps and things and you have the real deal. I am now using my M13 as my sole effect system for touring. It really is pristine sounding now. Before the mod I would loose some top end off my tone and that has now been fixed. I'm having really good results with the compressor models as well as the various eq's that help dial in a great tone. He also installs a gain knob to help equalize between bypassed and engaged mode. I leave it on all the time and just crank it up to give more gain to my Radial JDI DI.

My dang Line 6 Expression pedal just gave up the ghost. No response from the M9 at all. From reading forums, it seems this just happens to some of them? Bummed. . . .
New M9 user here with a Behringer FCB1010. I just got it all together yesterday, so I stayed up way too late tinkering with it. Fun stuff!
Any other FCB1010 users in this group? If so, do you have UnO firmware? After looking at the documentation (Link Removed), I'm tempted. Not having "global" (unchanging) expression pedal settings is one of my early complaints about the unit, but otherwise I'm excited about the possibilities.

I'm using the FV-500H as the expression pedal. With the little trick - dummy jack into input and output monojack cable into M9. In the beginning it worked flawlessly, but now in heel position it is normal, then in halfposition go up approximately a third of the way and in the toe position they move back to the beginning.

Serviceable crossover hack. Will require some form of looper/splitter/LS-2/amp head with two effects loops.
Feed one into the main input. Apply an effect with block 1. block 2 applies Mid-Focus EQ with either the highpass or lowpass engaged to split the signal as you would like. Set the effects loop to be post effect 2. Effects loop out to splitter. Second feed into effect loop in, apply second effect with block three and Mid-focus EQ with block 4, cutting out the opposite bands as the first. (this is optional. for adding booty to distortions I recommend just adding in some lows to a full range distortion.) Main out to splitter for recombining signal.
Remember to kill the gain on the mid-focus eq to avoid volume match issues. I'm using the Mid-focus to roll some treble off some distortions that sound fizzy. Thickens them basturds right up. Call it "Addition via Subtraction".

or Sub octave fuzz, lowpass, tube screamer, Tube comp.
Tweak and enjoy.

I'd like to use an expression switch instead of the FV-500 (size on pedalboard). What kind of switch could I use? I figured out that a normal amp switch does only work a couple of times. Strange but true story.
