Line 6 Pod Go Patches & IR's

I tried a whole bunch of IRs including some downloaded packs but prefer bypassing them and just using the GK head direct for live situations. I just found the IRs quite boomy. Anyone else do the same?

Theres a bass ir pack from ownhammer that rocks. Try using the mix knob anyway! Huge difference.

Just got my POD Go on Wednesday and had my first rehearsal with it last night.

I'd previously had good luck with an HX Stomp, but wanted more footswitches, but didn't need all the features it offered - so the POD Go seemed like a great alternative.

So far I'm really liking it - and I've manually ported over some of the patches I favored on my HX Stomp.
The HX Stomp thread has breakdowns of how to mimic the Noble DI through using the Retro Reel, Rochester Comp, and Parametric EQ - and the POD Go has all those effects.

For IRs, I like to pull the mic back to 6" and play with different mics to get the basic EQ happening, then I'll boost the level until I'm back at unity.

I also have my eye on some of the Celestion bass IR's; the Pulse 15 in particular sounds great to me...

Stock ir do not sound that bad.
But ampg pack irs...dude, the CUT 2x10 with dynamic mic, its amazing!

It's been a long time since I sold my POD Go… Funny timing though—I just got your message while I'm getting a POD Express haha. Not sure where you can find those IRs nowadays, sorry!
