Links All Go To "Forums" Page

I am on the road, so I am using the TB app on my phone, which is working fine. Wierd.

However, I did have problems getting to the Roscoe forum Sunday night.

Sunday night the problem was still unfixed. It was fixed Monday early afternoon. Any ongoing problems are from cached copies of pages from the unfixed timeframe. Either cached on user's computers, or cached on their ISP's servers.

I can't create a post so I'll try to shoehorn my problem here (Paul never responded to my post under Test.

I can't start posts, reply (except quick reply), leave feedback, or PM's using either of my computers. I fill in the title, but the body text block is in light blue. When I fill it in and submit I get a message that my message is too short. This used to randomly happen, but now it is 100% of the time.

Strangely enough I can post using my Kindle Fire, but then the screen is so small and I can't use the search function. Do you have any suggestions?

What browser and OS are you using, that is making all your text entry boxes blue? Can you actually see text you type into this "blue box"?

Have you actually cleared the cache in your browser? I'm not sure what "running Clear Cache" does, but in Firefox, pull down "Tools" to "Clear Recent History". Here's a good site with instructions for all other browsers:

Invalid Link Removed

Clear Cache is accessible from several sources, in Google fer sure, and also in CCleaner.

I have done both - a few times now and it's still not fixed.

WOT is sounding off now too. What's going on over there? You've lost your good rating on WOT and Better Privacy reports it has cleared a bunch of super cookies from TB a few times too.

That's not a good sign.

Nothing I tried with IE9 would fix the problem for me. Cleared cache, history, temp files, etc. Didn't work. Then I tried enabling InPrivate Browsing, and it worked. I then closed and reopened IE9 without InPrivate Browsing and now everything seems back to normal. *shrug*

Some settings relating to SEO (search engine optimization) somehow got overwritten, which changed forum/thread urls causing this issue . . .

It's an effort to "practice" remote overwrites by hackers - it has nothing to do with TB Forums (or any particular site) "doing things w/out telling us" . . .
Clearing caches*, and/or changing passwords simply allows the webmasters to send blanket hackers away. Site-specific attacks would result in true inaccessibility, even different pages/messages being "seen".
This forum's management is A-OK . . .

*in case folks are living in the shadow of older, slower dial-up worlds where "cacheing" a page would bring up an older page in an effort to "speed things to your screen". Those days of less than dynamic content are long gone, but folks still have settings in their browsers that "save my browser history" . . .
Do you really want folks to know that you consort with TB'ers? :p
