Liquid-filled body: Plausible? Been done? Hopeless?

While thinking up color schemes that would give a bass an oceanic look, I started thinking about the possibility of having a hollow, colorless body, with the ocean inside. You know, some coated sand and blue water, or maybe some type of oil would work better, inside a clear body made of some heavy duty plastic. A stiff neck bolted on, maybe one of those bridges that goes clear through the body to send the vibration to the fluid, isolate the electronics from anything wet.

Could it work? Sound cool? Sound like nothing? Has anybody tried it?

Google "liquid filled guitar". Turns out somebody made a tele body that holds liquids. I love it! I looks pretty cool!

Rob Zombie's guitar player used to have a body that they filled with maybe calf blood? can't remember for sure. There was some sort of valve so it could pour out too.

I want to know which tonewater is the best. Tap. Purfied. Mountain spring. Atlantic, Pacific. Grape filtered.

If I add sea salt to tap tonewater, can I get similar tone as Pacific? Would an audience be able to tell, or are we really just talking about differences between purists? Does Amazonian tonewater sustain as well as Salt Lake City tonewater? If I melted a polar icecap will my tonewater sound retro? Does Martian tonewater sound psychedelic?

Distilled water for the HiFi sound. Beer (LoneStar of course) for a ZZTop tone.

People who do scale models of landscapes use a hard clear material, which also can have things suspended in it. I would think that would be the better way to go, and probably look more realistic.

Have something that agitates it, fan that circulates it, whatever. Constantly moving.
