I usually find myself reaching for Stain, but that's no slag on their other work.
I saw Living Colour in Detroit about a year and a half ago. It was a Monday night in the middle of winter, and the crowd was luke warm at best. That just made the band work twice as hard to win them over. And they did. Before the show, I ran into Corey and Doug in the parking lot – we exchanged pleasantries, but they were in a hurry to get inside. Corey said he'd see us after the show. I'm thinking, "yeah, right." Four hours later, they stuck around until everyone who wanted to meet them and get an autograph got a chance. I was last in line. When I got to Corey, he said "hey, you're the dude from the parking lot!" They were all genuinely appreciative for everyone's support after all these years. Definitely a class act.
