Loading issues

I appear to be having some issues when loading pages.

It took my about 15 minutes to get this Post New Thread page to open.

What keeps happening is my browser(IE) will load the "Welcome TalkBass Community!", tab bar and ad above, but will show done after that leaving everything below blank.

This occures when loading threads and opening reply/post screens. I can load the forum listings with no ill effect.

I though this may have been an issue with my network here at work, but I encountered the same issue last night from home.

I'm curious as to whether this is an isolated issue or if it is affecting other users as well.


I'm confused and it's very aggrivating.

I'm also experiencing similar delays in the time it takes for the content to load. I also thought it might be a network issue on my end, but I have the same issues at my home computer. I can visit other websites with no issues.

I would definitely appreciate any assistance in fixing this, thanks!

What gets me is sometimes they load fine. Sometimes it's just slow(says "done" and then completes loading after a moment) and sometimes it doesn't complete loading at all.

was just going to start the same post. my talkbass has slowed down to what seems like a really bad dial-up connection. takes a few minutes for each page to load, and I get that "done" thing when a page only has the header loaded. any idea what might be causing this?

ha! now the reply to thread page keeps refreshing itself. that's why I just posted 2X. didn't think it went through first time because this page re-appeared.

Im having the same problems as you guys too. Its not just one or two people. Theres a whole thread in OT going on about this, theres more than just us.

Whend it start for you guys? Mine began yesterday evening I think.

Yesterday for me. It started sometime during work and continued when I was at home.

Same problem for me. It started yesterday afternoon, and continues today. I have DSL, but it is running like a really bad dial-up connection. All other web sites are running just fine.

same thing for me too. Started yesterday afternoon. It's certianly no fun. It shows that I am WAY to addicted to talkbass.

Yep, same here. Started slowing down around 2PM MST for me. It hurts that it loads so slow.

Server loads? Forum Logs need dumbed? MySQL needs a fresh start?

Good luck on resolving the issue.

Just check, on my 3mb connection, it takes anywhere from 20-30 seconds to load a thread and 7-10 seconds to post a quick reply.

Seems to be better now...Just noticed a difference. It's only 10 seconds for threads to load.

Yeah, it's still running real slow for me. It started yesterday afternoon at work and then when I logged on yesterday evening from home it was just as bad.

I'm still experiencing the loading delays, and it's probably a bit slower. But at least somehow I'm finding more time to practice more these days.

When this thread appeared yeserday, I was having no problems - but now it is getting slower and slower and slower in the manner described - is Paul on holiday!!??

Mine has improved to where it's almost back to normal, still a slight delay, but almost unoticable compared to yesterday.

Snail pace is even slower today for me. I think the snail may be going backwards even.
