Ha that's awesome! Good for you.

I've had a few neighbours go by the past few years I've lived here. A couple of them don't care for me playing, one actually stood under my bedroom window(I live in the second floor...it's not as creepy as it sounds:p)just to hear me play!

I never play too loud, my amp's never any higher than 2 and even that's a push. I never play past 8pm just to be considerate incase the neighbours have kids that need to be in bed.

My neighbours now? Complete idiots. They are constantly blasting their stereo so loud it rattles my bedroom. Constantly having parties late at night, constantly shouting(at each other and their baby...)at all hours of the night and what do they do? File a noise complaint against me.

Apparently, I play too loud and I play way too late. Yeah...the dates they actually gave on the complaint, I wasn't even in the country so I have no idea what they're talking about.

Course, I cranked my amp up and went to town on my low B! Haven't heard a peep out of them since:)

No, I haven't forgotten. My mother never would have let me drag my amp out on the front porch. If I did, she would have put me in my place.

This child didn't extract any vengeance or win any fights. All he did is escalate a feud between his family and the neighbors. A feud that will involve his grandmother who's apparently too afraid to call the police. In my book, that's pretty stupid behavior.

Sounds like both our OP and his neighbors need a good old-fashioned spanking.

i do the same(well kind of) to my neighbours because they make 3 partys, loud partys every week and they dont leave my little sister sleep
what i did was a damn loud band practice with windows open, they stopped doing partys for 2 months

A feud between his family and neighbors? since when is his grandmother too afraid to call the cops? I think your stretching it and adding drama into the story that has never been conveyed by the original poster.

Life's way too short not to play your music loud every now and again. If he did it at a reasonable time in the day, and doesn't do it all the time than its all ok.

None of you guys having a go at him have ever had a practice in your garage? I'm sure there would be more noise coming from that then a 200 w bass amp. I think its just stupid that the neighbors complained about playing at a moderate level.

Wow. I was just having fun. The kids probably didn't even tell their parents. And don't say anything about my grandmother, you have no idea why she won't call the police, or if she even has, and frankly, I don't think that's any of your business.

Anyways, nice therex. Lol. I'm glad you took revenge for a better reason than I did. :smug:

And for the record, I play my big ass drum set with all the windows open in the summertime. Usually starting around 7am! That's for all the people mowing their lawns when I was working midnights! They don't care though, I love my neighbors like I love my own brother. I stop at 9pm no matter what.

Why does everyone have to have beef with rap music? Don't you know?! Wu-Tang, NWA, all that 90's west coast gangsta rap, they all sampled the best bass lines in music history! That modern crap that passes for "dance music" is the real demon here.
