Well, I was playing outside because my grandma was getting mad I was practicing inside, so I hauled my amp and bass outside.

Now, it's not impressive, but I have a 200W WorkingMan SWR 15 Combo, and this sucker can get loud, but anyway.

I was playing at the only plug-in outside of the house, facing the neighbors' house. I didn't have it up loud at all, then suddenly, I hear

"TURN THAT DAMN THING DOWN! IT SOUNDS LIKE #@@$!"

coming from my neighbors' house.

I laughed. They usually have a stereo outside that rattles my house, and it's so annoying. I just turned around, and turned the Gain and Master Volume up to 10 (okay, maybe not), and turned the Bass knob up, too, for added effect.

I then started jamming some random runs. Needless to say, they were pissed. It was funny, though, looking over there and seeing them yelling, not being able to hear them. I stopped shortly afterward, though, because I figured that they'd had enough.

Oh well. They shouldn't play *shudder* rap music on a loud car system.

Any similar stories?

EDIT: They were teenagers, they do it all the time. Please don't flame anymore.

You guys don't understand, it was nice to get revenge for once. I mean, every damn day the punks are playing on some stereo system that literally shakes my WHOLE HOUSE. My grandma (whom I live with), doesn't want to call the police, though, because our shaky past with the neighbors. It was nice for once.

yo, do your neighbors drag their stereo outside & face it towards your grannies house & intentionally blast it while your granny's screaming at them ?

dude,, grow up

it's obviously not YOUR house,, it's your grannies

show some respect,, & turn that crap down

Let's not start this into some forum where we bash a dude for taking out some aggression on a couple of little punk kids who do the same thing.

As for the grandma thing, might wanna think about a practice amp with a headphone jack or something to be nice (peavey maxbass combos are good actually) but I wouldn't make any apologies over the punks next door :bassist:
