LOL MY $50 PWAN SHOP PRIZE

I walked into a pawn shop last month ansd there was a "Hohner" 70's bass hanging there all shot to ****( read "reliced").
I offered 50 bucks for it ( plus tax) and took it home.
I stripped the "Hohner" tag off the headstock, kinf of tried to get a vinatge finish back on with some fruitwood stan and real old yellowed Tung oil I have ( tahta takes forever to cure) and put whatever Fender decal I had on there.
Now "shes " my little 2500.00 70's Jazz Bass relic.
I bet it'd work in a club standing on a guitar stand for some "Vintage Mojo" credibility!
What do you think?;

You're trying to gain cred by wielding a fake Fender? :eyebrow:

thats really not in keeping with the spirit of my intentions. How does it play? It sounds pretty groovy, but I need to loosen the strings and adjust the trussrod, as it frets out at the nut.
This would look cool on a stand-noone would no it isnt a 50 dollar bass. Everyone would think its a 2000.00 Fender 68 JAzz! LOL.
I'm a guitar player.
I've made some decnet Strat relics too.
IT'll never be a great player, and it wont ever sound like a real Jazz, but waht the hay..its 50 bucks, not 2500.00! :bassist:

Yeah, I cringed when I read:

I know this is going to bring on the flames, but come on, that's totally tasteless to stick a Fender sticker on a Hohner.
Fender did not manufacture the bass.

I really don't want to start any beefs with anyone, but I just don't get it?
Why are people always putting Fender logos on non-Fender instruments?

fake and credibility are exclusive of each other and it's a fake precision...if it plays nice and sounds decent play it....dragging it to gigs to sit on a stand....well it's your back

Looks like it, those Fender Stratocas basses demand respect...:p

No it won't, seeing as it's a Precision copy.
