Greetings. Like many who happen across this forum, I've been using it as a reference for years, but just started an account to dig in more.
I've been playing bass mainly since 1994 (started on guitar before that and have played guitar in a project or two since). I'm currently in three projects in the Denver area and have several setups that I use across these bands.
First is my "OG" rig. Peavey T-Max. I have had this rig since the late 90s. It's a workhorse. I have the full combo, but I've since relocated the head into a road case so it's easier to move without assistance. I also picked up two of the 2x10 headliner cabs to use in place of the combo cab itself. Just feels better to me. I used to run the original 2x10 combo along with a 4ohm Ampeg 15", but I sold the 15" like an idiot. One of the two great deal sale regrets I've made in my life.
I use this Peavey still today in my hardcore project.
My other rig is my monster 2x15 Mesa Boogie Diesel and two single Yamaha 18s powered by a Mesa Boogie Subway D-800 that I just purchased. I actually joined this forum specifically to chat with folks and find info about this head since I'm new to class-D stuff. This is a ridiculous set up. I'm running the Subway at 2ohms into all of this and it's surprisingly loud. I had previously been using an Ampeg SVT-4 Pro that I was borrowing from my drummer to power these and just recently decided to simplify the head component of it all. It definitely hangs with that Ampeg.
I currently use this rig in my doomcore project.
For my third project, I've cobbled together a bunch of things that's mostly borrowed for an experimental sludge project. I'm splitting by bass signal into a Traynor head into a Fender 4x12 and had been using an Acoustic Controls 370 into two 2x15 Dietz cabinets, but I recently started using my Subway D-800 in place of the Acoustic head. It definitely cleans it up. Best pic I have of the set up is this pic, but it's when I was still using the 370.
As for basses, I have been playing Warwicks for years. I've had my Streamer Standard 5 since '00. Bought it brand new.
In 2021, I picked up a 2017 Warwick Rockbass Streamer 5 as a stage backup for my Streamer Standard. I know what people have to say about Rockbass, but I actually really like the sound and feel of it.
Last year, I picked up a Warwick Rockbass Corvette Multiscale 5 for the doomcore project. It's a very cool bass as well. My fitst multiscale, so I can't honestly say how it compares to others, but it fits the bill.
As for effects, this is the current setup:
