Greetings my friends! Got a question I'm already sure no one can possibly answer but I'm gonna go with it anyway. I recently picked up a gig as "Banner Thomas" in a Molly Hatchet tribute band. I already actually look somewhat like him (starting to go bald haha, long hair, beard) but I'd like to recreate his bass. I recently purchased a 62 reissue that looks like his and I can cut the pick guard but . . . He had a couple stickers on it. One (top left) appears to be a "back stage" pass which I have found similar for sale. the other (lower right) is a complete mystery. I was wondering if anyone would possible know or can identify it.

Or have a better picture of his bass . . . ?

The folks I play with tend to go all in on dress, gear and performance of the originals so I'm trying to up my game a bit.

As a side - I've discovered he was an amazing player with some very cool bass lines. Not sure why he doesn't get the mentions and credit some others do.

I agree that Banner Thomas is underrated. I saw MH twice. One with Banner, one without Banner. Those are some fun bass lines.

Happy to help. I'm not usually so good with this level of trivia but I worked with a guitarist who used those strings back in the day so I'm very familiar with that image. Glad to see that they're still easy to find!

That's likely the correct one. The "bronze" one has a similar image but is a little different at the bottom. But I think it would be close enough for the OPs purposes if this one can't be found.

Good question - I wasn't sure about that. It almost looks like an old Gibson style

I remember those sort of bridges from the early-80s Japanese or Korean basses... Washburn maybe?
Earlier ones maybe "Starz guitars" aftermarket parts?

Not sure if this bridge is 100% the same, but it looks very similar (blocky saddles, top mount strings, traditional Fender bridge style).

I really appreciate the attention to detail you and the band are putting into this. Even though some in the audience may not notice, I love the commitment.

The bridge looks like high mass bridge saddles on a bent plate (not high mass). They're not the current fender "high mass" saddles (obviously) but similar . Maybe off some Leo Quan knockoff of the time frame?
