I've been stumbling across this forum for years, decided to make an account. Figured I'd do the intro thing.
I got my first bass, an Ibanez SR200 when I was 14/15. Stopped playing for a bit after it got stolen. Got a Peavey Fury 4 string in 2010 that I played for about 5 years, got a Squier Precision Affinity Series 5 string (with J pickups go figure). Had a Trace Elliot Amp that my friend claims only showed up on old forum posts that his father made looking for answers on the bass or things talking about John Entwisle custom shop amps. The amp currently isn't working as far as I can tell and the cab is stashed inaccessibly so I can't figure out what they are.
I recently acquired a Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 3rd gen and a Trace Elliot ELF after having an itch to start playing more. I'm in two bands, one of which is gigging out more. The other is studio project that we play maybe one or two shows a year (or a decade at this point). Both metal, both on the squier 5.
I'm currently shopping for a rig to go along with the trace ELF. Sooner or later I'll stop being lazy and pull the cab out, I think it's a 1510 but again can't be too sure. I'm almost definitely going to grab a Hartke210 XL at the minimum to go along with the trace cab. Planning on getting Darkglass PreAmp and an Origin Effects compressor and I think at that point I'll be golden.
Unfortunately I don't have much current material but I'm hoping to change that! Looking forward to talking here and meeting people and gathering information and ideas.
