I think it's well worth it. I mean it's roughly the same price as a new one and has emgs already installed. Plus if for some reason you wanted to put on a stock bridge, you could sell the badass and pocket the change.

Looking at a 77 p bass

JMO but I wouldn't get too crazy on a lowball offer. If I owned that bass and anyone offered me a penny under $1K I'd say no thanks and hang on to it.
That's a nice enough looking bass that he'll find someone willing to give him a grand for it... even with the non-original parts.

If it plays nice, I would throw $800-900 down to own it. Then I would put in some Dimarzios and sell off the active pickups and the Badass bridge.
My guess is there could be a little routing under the guard to help fit the battery. Not a guarantee but it's a possibility. Also ask to see the neck and body date. S9 serials go all the way into the early 80's. That doesn't look like an 82 or 83 but it could be anything from a 79-81.
I must have been completely out of it yesterday. I was thinking 79 instead of 77. S7 would be 77 or maybe 78 but that's it.

The route things still stands. Most Precision that I have seen have had to have some mild routing under the guard to accomodate the battery.

It's not entirely original and therefore not worth as much as a fully stock 77 P bass. Having said that, however, it still seems to be a good instrument. I'd haggle down to $900.
And I hate EMG's. I would only be happy with this bass if I could take it home and swap them out for a different pickup and forego active electronics entirely. Why own a classic Fender if you're going to ruin the classic Fender sound?

The pickup & pots not being original is a bit of kick in the teeth, the bridge on the other hand is much better technology. I'd offer him 900 cash since its going to cost you around 100-200 to get a 77 pup
