looking for a combo...

since having a job is providing money flow for better bass gear, ive been toying with the idea of a nicer amp. currently im running a laney hardcore 65 watt bass combo. i want something larger, in the 100-watt (150 if i can get one) range, and the $350ish price range. id like a 4+ band eq, an fx loop (thats a MUST), and the speaker configuration (1-12, 1-15, 2-10, etc) doesnt matter much. and id like it a decent size (physically) just because. if it has a direct (xlr) output thats a plus as well. ive got a few im looking at right now, such as...
ashdown electric blue 15-180
fender rumble 100 (which ever, 115 or 210)
behringer 4410
i play alot of metal, if that helps. i have a few sounds i use, from a raised-mid tool-esque tone, a crunchy metal tone, a nice slap tone, a few others. i use pedals as well, so i need an amp that can handle heavy distortion and such. thanks!

I've been eyeballing a couple of combos that I hope to try soon. One on the way is a Kustom Groove Bass 2x10 that will run up to 600 watts/2 ohms with an extension cab - could be a very competent stand-alone. The other is a Nemesis... don't know the model (Nc 115?), but this line will run at over 200 watts, also power an extra cab, and I've seen them around for a little over $400 in either a 1x15 or a 2x10 layout. The Kustom rig is priced in your range as 2nd hand. Details at eleven...

ive heard good things about the acoustic. but are behringers really as bad as people make them out to be? ive heard bad things about their cabs, but good things about their combos?
I have a major problem with their look-and-feel "borrowing" of other designs. But other than that, they sound cheap to my ears. Maybe their heads are OK, but their speaker cabs are so crappy and boxy sounding that I could never get past it to judge their heads on their own merits.

I'd probably get the Ashdown, but I think the Rumble is a fine amp as well. But my favorite 100w combo amp these days is the Ampeg B100R. It's as close to a B-15 as you can get these days.
