Looking for a good teacher in San Diego

I live in the San Diego area and really don't know too many bassists around here. All of my friends and myself are all self-taught and what not. I don't exactly have the biggest budget (I'm moving into my first place next money! ), but I don't plan on taking lessons everyday or anything like that. I'll unfortunately have to take it a bit slower in order to make sure I have enough money for rent each month.

I really want to improve on my technique, and I don't have very much knowledge of music theory either besides basic major scales and so on. I am really into jazz, progressive rock, and post rock. I'm also going to be getting my first fretless bass soon. So that's another big thing I want to perfect.

I've actually started talking to him a few weeks ago. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to actually get any lessons from him due to money issues, but I think I should be having my first lesson within the next two to three weeks!

dave is a great guy, studied with him for 3 years. then i went to berklee. now i'm back home, i've been hanging out with him over the summer a whole bunch. he's given me free lessons, because i send ppl his way, and i hook him up with loads of music.
