I agree on the MB-210 combo. It's a nice head and GK's cabinets are underrated in my opinion. It will be a little heavy, but the class D and lightweight products are all going to be beyond your budget.
Another option would be an Avatar B210 Neo cabinet at $319, plus a used Markbass Littlemark II for about the same amount. If you get the 210 as an 8-ohm cabinet, you could add a second one or one of their 112 cabinets to it as soon as you are ready and have a world class gig rig.
