What kind of sound are you looking for?
Do you want a clear, snappy sound with some zing/crunch/grit?
Do you want a low end thud like old Motown recordings?
Those half rounds might be your ticket then, probably a good choice. They are more mellow than rounds, but still have some high end.
Your sister's set is probably fine, but if you want to post pics I'm sure folks will chime in! LOL

Out of curiosity, does anybody know if bassstringsonline ship outside the US? Considering getting a few sets to try out new kinds of strings and saw about the 'Rewards' section and thought it was a fantastic idea
Yes!
USPS Priority Mail International is the default shipping service (most reliable and fastest for the $). Under $20 for up to 4-5 sets of strings depending on brand / packaging.
First Class Mail International is available by request only, and is good for 1 or 2 sets, or larger orders that you are not in a rush for. These quotes must be requested.
