Looking for a particular overdrive sound

I am looking for an medium to high gain overdrive with a coarse grained grit and upper mid presence without being too clanky. I have a Blower Box. It is in the ball-park but I find it has too much clank to it. (A pronounced bump in the 2k range.) And it has too much scoop in the lower mids. As you can tell from the description, I am not looking for a B3k or VMT either. I've already tried them and did not like it. I have a Dredgetone Angler that is also pretty close, but not quite as smooth or refined as I like. Also, it will be replacing my Blower Box. So it needs to fit in the same space. I am looking forward to your responses.

I tried a SSBS Mini a long time ago. I didn't like it then, but I think I should try it again. I tried a WHGR before. That is more of a TS-9 sound. I have that covered. I have not tried an Agro. I used to own an Elements. I just could not get the EQ to work right for me. I have a One Control HGBM. I love that pedal. I does a beautiful dark and creamy tube-like overdrive. I am not looking for that sound. I want something far more coarse and gritty sounding. I suspect that what I am looking for is in the rat territory, just not the Blower box. I would like to try a Rat Tail, but the box is too big.

One other things, I really want something with great dynamic response. I realize that getting both a heavy grindy sound and great dynamics is a tall order, but one could hope.

Oh, and thanks for all the great responses.

I had the SSBS Mini and a Blower Box at the same time. The Mini is like a Blower Box with more mids but without the exaggerated bottom end. It doesn't LOSE bottom, it just does not bump it up like the Blower Box. It also does not have quite as much gain as the Blower Box, but more than enough for a 'normal' overdrive as the BB has a LOT of gain.

I've also had an Agro...twice. Great pedal but I liked the Mini better.
Also had an Elements...didn't care for it.
Also had an OCD. I'd take anything mentioned above over it.
