Making up my bass pedal board and I've pulled a lot of pedals off my guitar board. I really, really like the octaver, but the tracking is awful on the bass. Any suggestions for a cheap alternative?

When I was looking at octaves, I tried the mxr, ebs, and ehx against each other.
The ebs went first round as it was too 'nice'
The ehx and mxr took me a while to split. I went with the mxr in the end, since it had the switchable mid boost.
But there are definite common tones to be found with these two imo
