Hey guys n gals. I'm hoping somebody can help me out. Scenario: I have a Fender MIM jazz with a set of EMG P/J active pickups. I LOVE the tone I get from them. I also have a Warwick Streamer with 18v preamp and MEC P/J pickups. Just bought a new '75 RI jazz (thanks Gibenbackerbass !) so one of my others must go to help pay for the new Fender. I'd like to put the EMG's into the Warwick then sell the MIM but I'm not sure if they will work together. My Warwick has 2 batteries (I assume for the preamp) so if I add the EMGs would I need to put that 3rd battery in? Just wondering if this scenario is possible. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks !!

Looking for advice on active p'ups

There is a very low current draw from the preamp, (likely 1 to 2mA) so you should not have any issues running active pickups on the same battery.
IIRC, Warwicks are usually active MEC pickups with passive controls.
Your bass has a preamp, so are the current MEC pickups active or passive?
You want to be sure that your preamp can handle the lower impedance output of active pickups.
