Looking for advice on "inline" phono usb audio interfaces

Hi all,

I am looking for a single cable solution that I can use to plug my bass into a laptop. On the laptop I'll be running Helix Native. I see there are a few options out there, from Behringer, ART T and IK. Are any of them any good?

Have you checked out the IK Multimedia iRig or Apogee Jam+? Both are quality devices.

Define: Single cable solution

Even the iRig and Jam that @And I suggested require an instrument cable and then a connection to the computer via USB, TB, USB-C, etc. At a minimum that seems like two cables to me, which would be the same for a larger interface if it happens to be buss powered.

@midfieldgeneral you mentioned some brand names, but what models specifically did you check out?

There is no single cable solution. You need a interface which connects to PC with a USB cord and the bass plugs into the unit. Something like a Focusrite Solo is a nice way to go.

Thanks all - I think the jam+ will work well. I guess that is technically two cables.
