Looking for an all around do it all effects pedal

None of the BOSS units have truly good sounding dirt. The Line6 M9/M13 are much better in that regard. However, the BOSS GT-10B would be my personal choice over the M9/M13 as it's much, much more versatile, easier to recall presets, has an expression included, more I/O, yadda yadda.

Note that multi-fx can be difficult to master if you're a novice effects user. But for the GT-10B there's a great free software product that helps make everything totall visual so it's more like dealing with regular stomp boxes if the hardware interface is too confusing.

The GT-6B would be a less expensive alternative though I always thought it sounded a little muddy or clouded. I owned bought/sold the GT-6B twice before buying a Line6 M9 and BOSS GT-10B, the latter which is my go-to multieffect right now.
