So, I KNOW that this is waaaaay out of your weight preference (and price range!), but I'll always hold the Mesa/Boogie 400+ as my all-time favorite. I also had an Ampeg SVT 4 Pro for a while that really inspired me...
So, yea. Just mentioning for conversation's sake; not even really 'suggestions' for you, given their weight and price. Still... MAN, what great amps.

My all time favourite is the Invalid Link Removed. This one sounds very tuby.
The Sunn 300T / Fender Bassman 300 Pro is a good sounding amp, but I think, this one is overhyped too.
I have both a T90 and a Fender Bassman Pro 300. I will vouch and say they are both very good amps for very different kinds of players.
The T90 is a meat and potatoes no frills tube amp. One could say the elegance lies on the simplicity of its design. Very warm amp with a good DI.
The 300T/Pro is overkill and sits in the same realm as an SVT and 400+. Very flexible amp that can cop just about any sound. I recommend getting the foot switch to change channels on the fly. You can go from composed to all out distortion in a snap.
The Peavey Alpha bass is an awesome tube amp that doesn't get the credit it deserves. Its built well, sounds good, and is loud for 165 watts. I have a Peavey Alpha preamp that I pair with a Peavey 120/120 in bridged mode. Paired with a PA and an Ampeg fridge for rock trio's makes a killer combination.
The Mesa tube bass amps, Bass 400 and 400+ and the newer strategy 8:88 all have graphic EQ. They are all tube.

Meaning what exactly? No one will call these Mesa bass amps (and their guitar amps) hybrid just because of the graphic EQ pre power section. The SVT 2 Pros have graphic EQs as well. Of course in a pure sense, the GEQ is solid state tone shaping, but so are resonance and presence controls in amps that do not have GEQ. Are they not post phase inverter.
Just replaced all the tubes in my 1981
Fender Bassman 135,and in great shape plan on letting it go,and find something smaller and lighter. Has the matching 15" cabinet.

Its the having solid state and tubes in that makes things hybrids. All tube is when stuff is all done with tubes. Resonance and presence controls are negative feedback based, not solid state dependent at all, they work off a pot, a resistor and a cap. Position relative to the PI doesn't figure into if there is solid state or not at all.

I believe that most players would accept calling an amp "all tube" if they use a tube pre and tube power sections. Added EQ, whether its tube or SS would not disqualify an amp being called all tube by most players.

Don't forget Marshal VBA400. All tube with eight 6550s. An 80 pound monster.

I am about to pick one up one the next couple weeks all original except tubes. I have no experience with them. Thoughts on the amp?

I just acquired one of these, needs repair work, and it doesn't have the matching cab. You ever run yours at 8ohms? How do you like the tone?

I'm pretty sure the 200w Simms-Watts "POW" heads have Partridge transformers. I haven't played one for years but I remember it was an amazing amp for bass, whatever the transformers were.
Yes,I love the tone,that I get with my D'Angelico Excel bass,and the matching cab is 8ohms.
