Looking for info on the B.C. Rich "Innovator"

Hey guys,

So I'm looking for info on [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] - 5 String B. C. Rich Innovator. Particularly the Korean models. They appear to be well-regarded by the reviews.

I know they are made in Korea. Pickups appear to be EMGs. What I am wondering is...when were these made? They don't appear to be available any more. I am guessing 90s?

Also...what is the difference between...
The Innovators with the the elongated pearly looking inlays on the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
and
The Innovators with the Link Removed or the one in the picture with this review?
I'm wondering if the inlays denote different years and/or model numbers?

I know there is also a USA model one which features rectangular abalone inlays...those look really sweet but are more than I want to pay.

Any info on this elusive instrument appreciated.

As much as a BCR fan as I am, I know very little about these basses. However, forum member Lorne, knows a boat load about most things BCR, I would recommend sending him a PM. He is a good guy (but don't tell him I said that !)

I think I figured out the answer to my question. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Both are made in Korea in the early to mid 2000s.

Question is: is $250 shipped a fair price for the Platinum Series one?

I am almost positive that first one is more 90's - late 90's. The NJ series one you posted were 2000's to 2005 or 6 with the later two years being neck through.

This is horridly late, but I just found this post when searching the internet for laughs.
I used to own this model. And if you wish to purchase one of the Innovators, I would refer you to musicgoround.com, type in Innovator in the search bar and it should come up with a picture.
It's a platinum series, I had it for several months and was amazed at it's quality everytime I picked it up. The only reason I no longer own it is because I found a double neck bass that would cost next to nothing by trading in some equipment.

Super late on this but just adding for the common knowledge base. I owned 2 of these both identical except one was trans blue and one was trans red quilted maple top. Bolt on, pointed R headstock, diamond inlays, EMG PJ selects pickups.
Great bass. It was early 90's I think. Bought both new. Haven't seen them since.
Here are some stock images I found. Some one is calling it an ST III but I think that is wrong. The BC rich on the body wore off easily on my Blue one as that was my main bass. It had a Tune Bass maniac look for $300.
