One thing you might try, as I have done, is take the E from the FS set and put it on your bass. Move the FL G off and move the others down a notch. So it would be:
FS E
FL E
FL A
FL D
Works for me!
The FS E string is 105, and the FL E string is 104 -- practically the same string. As far as the other strings between the sets, the guages are not that far apart. For a fatter G and D string, look at the La Bella FM or Jamerson set. Also, look at the meduim Fender set.
