OK, if you put it that way I can't but agree.
Yes, that's indeed the bass I have, a Korean-made Kingston series MTDexcept I have the white pearl pickguard (looks like you replaced yours with a plexiglass one, which I find even nicer!!) and rosewood fretboard. That maple fretboard makes the biggest difference, though. Was that a custom job as well? It's really eye-popping. Man, you have a sweet bass.....
Mine is also the basic MTD Kingston made in Korea. It was available in a few colors with rosewood or maple fretboard. Cost me 500.00 + 25.00 shipping brand new in 2004. Not sure what my pickguard material is but the main reason I replaced it was to gain easy access to the truss rod. And you can't have too much red. Link included to website where I had the pickguard custom made.
The bridge has been replaced with a quick-change version from the more expensive Kingston models. Naturally, I had to buy matching tuners because chrome black and black black don't do well together. Straploks were added along with an ebony thumb thingie and ebony knobs. Also, the pots, cap, and input jack were upgraded. Pickup remains stock. Glad you like my bass. Thanks. It's a keeper. Served as my bar/jam session bass for years.
