Loop switcher questions

The Wounded Paw Super Blender has three parallel loops. Does that count?

Of course, some/most people may prefer series loops. And if only one at a time is used, it's a non-issue, right?

Parallel loops just let you run the sounds in a simultaneous fashion so the effects don't run into each other- they don't let you alter the order of the effects from say fuzz->phaser to phaser->fuzz in a serial fashion. The reverse order option with a Loop Master is nifty, although it's still technically running everything in serial- it's just relocating one particular loop into one other particular spot. Something like the Switchblade will let you run in series or parallel and you can alternate the spot of any loop anywhere in the chain. It would be awesome to see a switcher in pedalboard format for this, but I'm not sure if there is one yet. I don't think it's possible (or at least feasible) without a digital switching system.

I know that.

Well, you said "Does that count?" and then "Yeah but ... I'm talking about the relationship between the three loops - not the loops to the clean signal." Series vs parallel was not the topic- it was series vs loop matrix/placing loops in any order, and "not the loops to the clean signal" which would mean you didn't mean series vs. parallel, so it sounded like you didn't know.

Bryan,

I wasn't addressing the effects order portion of the OP at all.

My reference to the WP box was in response to Bongomania's statement that most switchers aren't wired in parallel.

The discussion of series vs parallel was to me, a natural progression of this discussion.

Anyway, I didn't mean to hijack the thread or give out any misinformation.
