Same thing here. Whipper-snipper != whipper-snapper
Oh man, I definitely read that one too fast.

My dad brought some vegemite back from Australia. He watched me "try" to eat it. That's some nasty shite!!! I do like the XXXX though!
Browsing this whilst enjoying some vegemite on toast, a delicious quick Australian brekkie. I'd say that if you like XXXX but are not quite ready for vegemite you are getting there and there's hope for you yet, mate! Keep trying; it's just a matter of time...

As I have said many times on this forum - vegemite is a cheap copy of Marmite, which is the "real thing"!!
As most Australian culture is....

This restaurant is called GB Fish and Chips, located in Denver, Colorado, and they use the Union Jack as their background logo. I had the pleasure of sitting with a British national one time, and he told me it was damn close to the real thing. They do have vinegar dispensars at the tables, and they serve Newcastle, Boddingtons, and several other UK and Aussie favorites. They do not use newspaper, but this British gentleman told me that is not so common any longer in England because it's a health concern or something.
Anyway, the bangers are tasty, and the shepherd's pie is great. They make fish and chips with about 6 different kinds of fish. I always go for the cod.
Shame most chippies here are run by chinese guys, doesn't make sense. A British favorite is made and run by the Chinese, and the British guys run the Chinese shops. Has always confused me (please note, not a racist comment at all, just a thought.)
Marmite!?! Boo! Hiss! Boooo!
Does Marmite have an amazing song like this:
We're happy little Vegemites
As bright as bright can be.
We all enjoy our Vegemite
For breakfast, lunch and tea.
Our Mummies say we're growing stronger
Every single week
Because we LOVE our Vegemite.
We all ADORE our Vegemite.
IT PUTS A ROSE IN EVERY CHEEK!
It's pretty awesome, yeah?... so, Vegemite FTW!
I'm ashamed to say it, because I grew up watching and playing American football, but compared to rugby, our football is a bit of a girly game. I was recently in a local fish n chips shop in Denver that only shows soccer and rugby on the televisions, and I was absolutely hypnotized by an international rugby match. Rough as hell, and rarely does play stop. No pads! Crazy rough. Very entertaining, but the players' careers can't last very long.
Of course! For "strimming" (?)
Brits "strim." How posh.
Americans just whack the damn weeds.
Blame Black and Decker - that's what they called them when they introduced them over here - "Strimmer". Actually, as it uses a nylon String to trim the weeds - kind of makes sense?.

As a brit myself, Cod is always the way to go. It's just the best hands down.

a Biscuit is a cookie?
muffin/crumpet in england is flat an kind of like toast, where a muffin here is more like an cupcake without icing
bollocks = testicles?
barney = trouble?
