Lost my old friend today

we can't find him, Matt! we have several cats on this ranch and they all show up for breakfast. last night, after the noisey fray we went out searching. this morning was telling when he was a no-show.

Aw, man! I hope he turns up.
He could be held up in a bush somewhere letting his wounds heal.

I lost my 11 year old chocolate lab in early december to cancer. Watching her slowly die was awful. Putting her to sleep was painful, but she was at the end by that point. We then lost our almost 12 year old yellow lab in late december because he could no longer walk. Losing two old friends like that so close together was really sad. On the positive side, we just adopted a seven week old chocolate lab male. He isn't house broken yet, but at least he is helping us move on. I really feel for everyone here who has lost a pet.

My condolences to you who have lost your friends, being cats or dogs.

I´ve known a lot of dogs but my two corgis was very close to my heart. One dog and one bitch. The dog was probably the most masculine dog i´ve ever met. He had absolutely no idea he was only 30 lbs and would terrorize any bovine that didn´t recognize his supremacy the bitch was totally the contrary. She was so ladylike it made visitors both smile and greet her very formally. "Good Evening Mylady. May we enter your house?"

Love dogs! A good dog is a friend forever. No matter what.

Always sad to hear about the parting of friends who just happen to be of another species, be it dogs, cats or whatever. My condolences.
