There aren't any. Bass frequencies are much quieter than guitar frequencies. Though, they carry farther.Hey fellas! Wanna buy a 4-string acoustic which has some volume unamplified. All the ones I tried would not cope with one loud or 2 acoustic guitars.
I saw some older posts here but want to know what's up in the meantime.
Thanks for all your suggestions !!
NiceSpector Timbre... was designed off the Tacoma Thunder Chief. It is loud and a well made bass, and has some real nice tone with a good set of strings.

It holds its own with acoustic guitars, easily. And deals right now have been in $700 range mail-order.
I have a 5 string Doderer acoustic bass and it really is quite loud and sounds fantastic besides being loud.Hey fellas! Wanna buy a 4-string acoustic which has some volume unamplified. All the ones I tried would not cope with one loud or 2 acoustic guitars.

Guitarrons aren't big enough, they're loud enough because they're strung in octave pairs.
Edit: I've never played one and therefore don't know that for a fact, that's just how it was recently explained to me (on here if I'm not mistaken).
I play unamplified acoustic bass guitar with 1-4 other acoustic instruments pretty much every weekend, with tapewound strings and no frets. I've heard field recordings, I assure you it's perfectly audible either in the living room or by the fire pit. I wouldn't attempt to play a show without amplification, but then I wouldn't do that with an upright, either. I promise, I haven't just made this stuff up, haha! My Thunderchief isn't even the loudest ABG there is, probably not in the top 5. It's set up somewhat high, and I dig in upright style pretty hard with the meat of my fingers. It can absolutely be done.
This is what I'll do. All those huge basses are for sure delivering, but more flexibility and portability I get with such a combination.Buy whatever you like, just make sure you buy a Joyo MA 10-B, too!
