Loudest cab I can carry with 1hand?

The Schroeder PL 212. However, you will have to either Velcro your amp to it (and let vibrations slowly shake loose the amp innards) or put about a 1” thick foam pad and bungi strap from handle to handle over the amp to avoid the amp scampering off the top. It is a killer cabinet for it’s size and weight. I used to have one with a ShuttleMax 12.0.

I'm having a real tough time deciding what bass cab to go with and hoping you fine folks I've been reading for for years can help me out here on my first post.

I'm looking for a single cab that I can carry with one hand that is loud enough for a 4piece progressive metal band with a loud drummer. I lift weights so weight is not an issue as much as box size.

I play a 4string Roscoe Century Standard, have Epifani 1000w head ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]) and here's the hi fi grit tone I'm after, an original bass piece recorded in local studio plugging into board with Line6plugins: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I welcome your feedback so far on my research re how loud and how 1 carry-able these or other cabs might be:

1. Greenboy Fearless F212 or F210
1. Audiokinessis Hathor 1533
2. Barefaced Big Twin II
3. Revsound RS 210
4. Schroeder PL 212
5. Anything else you think I may be missing?

#1... all the way!! I've had an F210, they're amazing! No longer made, though... I now use an F112.. amazing as well...

For your needs, an F212 would be perfect.. bridge a Crest Prolite 3.0 into it, own it, rock it, love it

Thanks again for the continued thread! Not to offend anyone, but to my ears most cabs sound like mud, especially, Ampegs, Aguilars, Genzler, GKs, MarkBass and Mesa Boogies, so definitely guilty of falling in the boutique camp e.g., Barefaced, Bergantino, DNA, Epifani, etc.

The first 3 on your list is where I'd be looking. The Barefaced BT2 has its own wheels and would give your drummer a heart attack trying to keep up with you.

I can carry my barefaced six10 with one had if necessary, ymmv of course. 65lbs and not too unwieldy as it can tilt back and roll.
That’s about as loud as it gets for a one hand carry.

Ah, I see. For real though, check that Mesa Subway 410. It handles anything you can throw at it!

Mike Arnopol (Michael Arnopol Sound) has a line of 'powerhouse' cabinets with a pair of custom 8" woofers & various mid-driver configurations that are small and light. If I were still playing out, I'd be using one.

This is the exact reason why I love my AudioKinesis cab. It's by far the best design for one handed carry with stairs. Disclaimer: I also have Mesa Subway and Barefaced cabs as well.

A GK MB212-ii combo, its light enough for a one hand carry and is capable of tremendous volume if needed.

I'm contemplating this very thing for situations where I don't need my double 410 stack. Depending how good it is I might sell the stack and get the powered extension cabinet. How's your experience with it so far?

Duke's cabs are by far the easiest one-hand carry cabs I've owned/gigged. A Hathor 212 would keep up with most any drummer. I gig a pair of Hathor 1-12s on my louder gigs, one weighs 25 lbs, the other 30 lbs, but more importantly, the way the handle is done and the shape of the cab make it easy to carry.

That said, I have used a folding cart for many years, so I'm not hand-carrying things these days.

I’m hoping that Trace Elliot will debut a 210 or 212 in the same design as the elf 2x8 during Winter NAMM 2019. The 2x8 has the tone but I dunno if even a pair of them would get your volume needs.

I'm with the AudioKinesis fans on this one...if you're looking for smallest cube, lightest weight, easiest carry, and loudest sound, the Hathor and Changeling lines are pretty unbeatable IME. I'm partial to the T versions for the single 12" cabs.

I find my 4 ohm 12/12/6/1 fEARful to be the loudest single cab I've had, and I've had quite a few, including an Epifani 610. It tilts back and rolls on 2 wheels. Totally keeps up with the 4 ohm fearless 212 or Big Twin 2, IMHO. A breeze to move. You can build one, fine one used, or have one built by an authorized builder.

I negotiate stairs with the cab, but as I am well over 65, I usually use the side handles with an assistant going up, though I have schlepped it up a flight by myself more than once. Do you live in an upper floor apartment?
