Hey y'all it's been awhile. So I'm in the market for a new cab. I play doom/ sludge metal so I need something that is big and can handle lots of distortion and lots of lows. Tax Return should be good to me so I'm looking for something around $1000. Are there 2ohm cabs out there or should I buy a box and wire it for 2ohms. I have a fire bass 700 to run it...Yeah I know, it's an ugly a** peavey.

Loudest, gnarly'est, cab for $1000?

Save a few hundred more and get a greenboy Dually.
Generic? Nope. You see them all over the place because they're just that good.
I don't think the Firebass is an ugly amp - I actually like the features on it, but the last one I considered buying wasn't real clean sounding. It could have just been that particular amp though.
I'm not familiar with fEARful's or Greenboy's creations but I hear much praise on TB for them - go used as was already posted. Or, for under $1K you can get two 810 cabs from a variety of mfg's and I think you'll find what you are looking for. IMO and YMMV, as always...

I would think the gnarly would come more from the bass than the cab. I think with the right bass/amp combination you can get as gnarly as you want.
They take a lot of power, don't get muddy unless you set your EQ that way, sound awesome, and look cool.
Whats not to like?
I will say however, those Greenboy setups are pretty awesome too.
The Mesa Traditional series gets my vote. All the bottom of the Ampeg ,but with clarity. And Made in the USA. Its the cab that Ampeg should have been making.

I have a Dingwall...the learning curve with fanned frets is nothing. I played a gig on mine the day I got it. Way up high it's different, but I don't spend much time up there anyway 
A pair of 810's will run less than a grand (used) and at 4 ohms each will give you a 2 ohm load for your amp. There is a (good) reason you have seen and heard of that set-up. The only thing that can come close imo is a Fearful 151566. A LOT lighter and smaller than 2-810's but very capable and will also cost about a grand used. Probably easier to find 2-810's in many parts of the world though unless you can diy.
