Hello! I know you would LOVE the top end of the 15/6, but I'm just a touch concerned that the low end would be a bit too big and uncontrolled with that DB750 (which is the case with a lot of cabs and that head). Maybe others can chime in. The good news is, that 750 would have plenty of oomph at 8ohms to really power a 15/6 with the 3015LF/18 sound).

Edit: And yes, that Orange Sadowsky with singles is KILLER! (IMO!).

I'm glad to hear the 15/6 top end recommendation! ... and sort of expected the low-end comment. Hrmm. 12/6 with a 12 sidecar?

Maybe I'll just get a Shuttle 9.0 with the VT in front and A/B my Aguilar until I can get it "close enough"? If only that were possible.

I bought this from Chef, sold it locally and then bought it back yesterday. Its the LDS version of the 15/6. What I especially like about it, besides the tone and 42LB weight, is that Don put in a level control for the midrange driver so I can cut or add mids. I'm not certain, but I dont think most fEarful cabs have that feature.

I have a gig (stretched over 3 days) in a large convention centre in February where this will be very useful as well as outside gigs from time to time.

I'm going to pair this up with one of my UL112s to fill out the bottom end in environments where two 112s would not be enough to do it. These situations often do not have PA support and I think adding some girth will really fill-out my band's sound, which is a 3 piece.

It sure does! I enjoyed that cab a lot... fat and warm and articulate all at the same time, and I love the footprint and weight!

Yeah, its great. I got a new (used) car and the cab fits alot better... which is the main reason I sold it in the first place.

Here is the 2 x 8 with 6 'in line' cab. The 8's are Ciare Neo's, but a bit heavy given the high power handling and heavy duty construction. The 6 is the 18Sound, crossed over around 900hz (Patterson crossover with attenuator). The cab weighs about 35 pounds and is 4ohm.

For size context, the head is the Markbass F1.

It kicks pretty hard... surprisingly deep, with a lot of mid frequency information. Very tight and even, and the mid driver adds a bit of sparkle and presence up top. Tighter and more aggressive in the mids than the 3012LF/18sound voicing.

Cool cab, and those 8's are heavy duty!!!!

Very cool! I didn't know if this cab was going to a fellow TBer or not. It's a punchy beast. I obviously didn't totally crank it or anything, but the B string sounded beautiful and even all the way down. The most pleasant sound to me was with that mid driver at around 9 o'clock on the attenuator... just opened up the top end a bit. Very nice cab, and even though it is a small cab, it sounded very good when standing right on top of it, I assume due to that mid driver up top. VERY nice for small stages where you are crammed in.

I think you will dig it. Not quite as 'fat and smooth' as the 112/6's I've played, but more articulate and punchy and 'quick' sounding, with plenty of low end to my ear.

Enjoy, and post up after you've put it through its paces! I see you are a Ric fan... my guess is a Ric with grind beautifully with this cab!

What an AMAZING little cabinet!

So far, I have only tried my fretless Zon, briefly, and my '08 4003 with a '60s magnetic horseshoe pickup and scatterwound toaster in it, and TI Jazz Rounds on the bass. This things rocks. Even with the mid/high driver fully attenuated the Rick sounded fantastic through it using my F1 with the EQ flat and the VLE and VPF off. I need to try this with my Walter Woods Super for a different perspective on it's capabilities.

I can certainly see a 4-8 column or even a 8-8 with these great sounding Ciare 8" drivers.

Obviously by the comments Don's cabs sound good...but based on the pictures they ooze superior quality. He must be very meticulous.

That got to you quickly! Cool. It is a well made little box, and it wumps really well. I too enjoyed the tone with my F1 even with the mid driver turned off. That gives you lots of tonal options. I look forward to seeing more pics!

That is a nice looking cab. Very appealing. Perhaps I should investigate. Wonder how much it weighs?

The 15/6 I had was something ridonkulous like 38lbs, and an easy one handed carry.
