Lull Question?

Hey cheese, I bet he'd build it that way if you asked. They were willing to do some routing things when I had my V4 built which I eventually decided against, but they were at least willing to have the conversation. (my request was to do a bigger universal route so I could drop a P in the neck spot if I wanted to)
I know a Lull would be far more than a Carvin Vanquish, but I really loved the way a Lull I played at Bass Central felt and have never forgotten it. 35" scale with a sunburst finish and a maple fingerboard with passive electronics would be cool.
Thanks, I need to get a nice bass next year before I buy a new car for the first time in a long time!
Cheese, I've been bothering Mike about a potential new build for the past year and a half, and he's always been very good about answering my questions and taking the time to go over the details with me.
I know this guy is a fine player, but that is definitely the sort of sound I want. I did call Lull, but I guess it may have been too close to closing time.

Oh well, if I get a Lull, I think will be a P/J! I think he builds a better passive P/J, especially a five, than anyone else in the world.
I've been playing a Lull PJ5 for a few years now and when I bought it I thought the J would contribute to a more flexible and wider variety of tone.
What I actually found was that the P pickup sounds so good that 99% of my sound comes from the P on its own. The J doesn't contribute much so I always leave it turned off.

If I go Jazz, I really do want the Seventies position. Since he does not like the Seventies position on a 35" scale, I want to know if his 34" fives have a nice B like a Music Man or Sadowsky?

Mammogram is down but I'm working manually
Another nod to Mike being a great and knowledgeable guy that is easy to work with. Of all the guitars and basses that I have, my Lull Chubby Tele by far gets the most attention when played in front of others.
I just talked to a couple of guys at the shop, and getting a 34" V5 with Seventies position pickups will be no problem. The price is not as bad as thought it might be, but it would still be the most expensive bass I ever bought. Here's hoping I can go through with this. I have whittled down my debt for a few years, and I really want to get really topnotch bass!

Oh, I know I won't. I just need to set things in motion, and hopefully I can do it. I am not a real long ways from retirement. I need to get a really nice bass while I am still in a position to enjoy it.
BTW, I checked on the PJ5, it is about $200 more. I think either way would give me a killer bass!
